The Elevate concept was presented to the Bathurst region in May this year, and what an extraordinary initiative it has proven to be. It has created opportunities for professional collaboration, the development of inspiring tourism trails, and—most importantly—a strong, united voice for our heritage-rich Bathurst area.

The results speak for themselves: a fast-growing network of engaged members, dynamic marketing reaching over 2 million viewers, more than 1 million Meta impressions, 4,000+ website sessions, and outstanding social media engagement. Elevate has also generated impressive media coverage across Australian Traveller, SMH Traveller, Nine Travel, En Route, InDesign, Habitat, Hospitality Magazine, and beyond—including Destination NSW and Tourism Australia.

I am proud to be a member of both Elevate and Bathurst Backroads, and I look forward to the continued success and growing reach of our dynamic region.

Since Rhonda and her team at Elevate Bathurst visited us and our partnering with Bathurst and Backroads, there has been a substantial growth in wine sales and visitation to our Cellar Door. Our accommodation (2 farm stay cottages) has had a noticeable increase in bookings. We believe the online presence and marketing with Elevate Bathurst is a major contributing factor to our recent growth.

The impact of the Elevate team over the past few months has been outstanding—Littlebourne has directly benefited from your media promotions and industry connections.

We were especially impressed with the four targeted media famil programs curated for our ideal audience, including stays and tailored itineraries for Sydney Morning Herald Traveller, Channel Nine Travel, InDesign and Habitus Magazine, and Hospitality Magazine. Each journalist arrived with a personalised briefing and itinerary, allowing us to collaborate with local dining, entertainment, and recreational partners to bring the Bathurst and Backroads experience to life.

Through Elevate, we've also attended three industry functions, building valuable connections with local producers and suppliers—enhancing both our guest experience and business outcomes. A standout was hosting the producer’s luncheon with Matt Moran, organised entirely by Elevate, bringing together media, Destination NSW, and regional businesses for a truly memorable event.

Elevate Bathurst is a proactive initiative to raise the profile of Bathurst and Surrounds.

As a 5th generation Bathurstian, I know how wonderful our region is. Elevate aims to rewrite the narrative that surrounds Bathurst’s fame, promoting the region’s other virtues – local wineries, distilleries and breweries crafting delicious accompaniments to our top tier regional produce while you could visit locations of significant natural beauty!

Bathurst also is home to many other innovative businesses, and we are attracting more influential businesspeople yearly.
